Note from Elena Reads: My other Godsister, Saniah G., is today’s guest blogger. And it’s her birthday! Today she is 8. Isn’t that great? She is reviewing a book illustrated by Vanessa Brantley-Newton, an author/illustrator I interviewed for my blog.
Here is Saniah’s review:
I recently read a book called Mary Had a Little Glam, by Tammi Sauer.
It is about a girl named Mary who loves fashion, just like me! Everywhere Mary went people talked about how fabulous she looked. I loved that she also liked accessories like sunglasses, sparkles, bracelets and purses because I like accessories, too.
One problem that she had was that sometimes her extra clothing and accessories got in the way of having fun. Mary learned that it can be tough to play outside with her friends with all of the glam stuff on without getting messy, and maybe ruining her clothes. This is how Mary realized that less is more!
I would recommend this book for girls around my age, like 7 or 8.
I give it 4 out of 4 roses because I liked it so much!
